Content licence

1.1 Ownership

You keep copyright in what you post on Tarka Amateur Radio.

1.2 Licence to the operator

By posting, you grant Rocket Science Computing Corporation Ltd a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, perpetual, irrevocable licence to:

  • host, store, reproduce, display, adapt and distribute your content in connection with operating, moderating, backing up, migrating and promoting Tarka Amateur Radio;
  • sublicense these rights to service providers acting on our behalf.

1.3 Public licence

By posting, you also license your content to the public:

  • Text, images and other non-code content: Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International (CC BY-SA 4.0), https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0/
  • Code (anything in code blocks or attached source files): MIT License, with you as copyright holder.

These licences are irrevocable. If you delete a post, we will remove it from Tarka Amateur Radio, but copies that others made lawfully under these licences may remain elsewhere.

1.4 Your warranty

You confirm that you own, or have the rights to license, everything you post on these terms. Do not post material you don't have rights to, such as other people's articles, photos, datasheets or code under incompatible licences, beyond short quotations for criticism or review with attribution.

1.5 Attribution

Reusers must attribute your content to your username and link to the original post. If you delete your account, we may replace your username with a pseudonymous identifier (e.g. "user12345"). We will keep that identifier on the content so attribution still works.

1.6 Personal data

These licences cover copyright only. Your data protection rights under UK GDPR, including erasure, are handled under our Privacy Policy and are not affected.

1.7 Existing content

Content posted before 2 November 2026 stays under the terms in force when it was posted, unless its author opts in to these terms.
